RANGELY I Rangely police officers were called to a private residence at roughly 2:30 p.m. on June 1, and responding officers found the bodies of a husband and wife who resided at the residence on East Rio Blanco Avenue.

MEEKER I Convicted poacher and former outfitter Dennis Eugene Rodebaugh, 73, of Meeker, Colo., learned Aug. 25 that his appeal to the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals has failed, affirming the 41-month prison sentence and fines he received in early 2013 for illegally baiting deer and elk with salt.

MEEKER I On Friday, Kristina Ann Lopez, 23, one of two females who allegedly misrepresented themselves as relatives of Meeker residents in December while claiming to be selling magazines to fund a volleyball team’s trip to Florida, pleaded guilty to “theft of an at-risk victim,” a class 5 felony, but received a one-year deferred-judgment sentence.

RANGELY I At a sentencing hearing on Feb. 6 at the Rio Blanco Courthouse and as a result of a plea bargain, 21-year-old Rangely resident Michael Miner was sentenced to nine years in the Colorado Department of Corrections for the July 2014 rape of a 12-year-old Rangely girl.
