The 10th annual Colorado Northwestern Community College Science and Engineering Fair was held on April 20. One hundred twenty students from neighboring schools attended this year’s fair. Students competed in different age brackets and the following categories: life science, physical science and engineering.

Striegel receives national recognition
Colorado Northwestern Community College Foundation’s 2011 dinner and dance was held last Saturday on the Rangely Campus, where a special announcement was made by CNCC president Russell George.
Panthers run in Utah
The Rangely High School track and field team traveled to Vernal, Utah for the Uintah Invitational meet and then to Grand Junction for Palisade’s annual Frank Woodburn meet last weekend.
Panthers defeat Cowboys
The Rangely Panther baseball team defeated the Meeker Cowboys last Saturday 12-1 in the first game and 9-8 in the second, on a cold day.

The Rangely Panther soccer team played the Grand Valley Cardinals last week, with the first game going into overtime and still ending in a 1-1 tie.
Aero Club fundraiser
Former Meeker High School graduate Marcus Kindall, now a student/pilot at Colorado Northwestern Community College, and several of his fellow Aero Club members were in Meeker Sunday for a Meeker Lions Club Bingo fundraiser.

4-H visits Eagle Crest
The Rangely 4-H Community Council members visit the Eagle Crest Assisted Living facility once a month and alternate between playing Bingo with the residents and making seasonal crafts.
