MEEKER I Thirty-four junior golfers played in the annual Meeker Junior Golf tournament, sponsored by the ERBM Recreation and Park District held Monday last at the Meeker Golf Course, featuring golfers from Meeker, Rangely, Craig, Rifle and Glenwood Springs.

Out-of-town golfers take honors at Cedar Ridges
RANGELY I Fourteen teams entered the competitive annual two-man best ball tournament at Cedar Ridges Golf Course in Rangely last weekend, including teams from Rangely, Rifle, Fruita and Vernal, Utah. Three playoffs were needed to decide the final results.
Hurricanes at state meet
RANGELY I Rangely Hurricanes Geli Brown and Patrick Scoggins competed at the Colorado Long Course Championships at the United State Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs this past weekend.
11-12 fast-pitch team wins championship
MEEKER I They did it the hard way but Meeker’s 11-12 girls fast pitch softball team won the Valley Youth League championship last Saturday.
