RBC high school golf starts today
RBC I The 2013-14 school year has not started yet, but high school golfers in Rio Blanco County started practice Monday and play in their first tournament today in Battlement Mesa. Practice for football, volleyball and cross county officially starts Monday.

Practice for Fall sports starts Monday
Practice for Rio Blanco County football players officially starts Monday. In Meeker, players are required to bring their physicals when they show up for practice at 8 a.m. After a two-year absence, Shane Phelan will be the head coach for the Cowboys again.

20 teams compete at Cedar Ridges Golf Course
RANGELY | Twenty teams competed in the annual 27-hole, two-man tournament in two flights at Cedar Ridges Golf Course in Rangely with several players from out of town, and more are expected to play in the couples tournament Saturday and Sunday.

Billy Estes, possibly the oldest softball player in Rio Blanco County, pitched two more winning games in Meeker against Shepherds and Pioneers Medical Center at Paintbrush Park.

The Rangely Hurricanes took 18 swimmers to the Western Slope League meet in Grand Junction, and, according to their coach, “The kids all improved and did a great job.”
